Fertilize the soil, it is possible to make it more suitable for growing plants. For this, we can give it two types of fertilizers:
=> The amendments, which are aimed at improving the physical structure of soil.
=> Fertilizers, which provide the missing nutrients in the soil or depleted by crops.
Naturally, some soils, with their structure and their richness in nutrients, are more fertile than others.
However, when support intensive cultivation, even rich soils in nutrients end up poorer.
There are two types of fertilizers used in agriculture and in gardening activities:
=> organic amendments, which are aimed at improving the physical structure of soil and its basic chemical properties,
=> and fertilizers that are intended to provide the missing nutrients in the soil or depleted by crops.
Some products act both as an organic amendment and fertilizer: this is the case of manure, compost and potting soil.
