Chocolate

Overvalued virtues: Needless to veil the face, CHOCOLATE is primarily fat and sugar. Nothing to spoil the pleasure of tasting a good vintage. But not enough to either turn it into health food. The fat comes from cocoa, sugar is added. Both tested references that happen from the latter replace it with sweeteners, maltitol and lactitol, which provide 2 calories per gram (4 for sugar). Caloric gain is minimal: less than 10 kcal per 100 g compared to other less caloric references, barely 1 kcal per square.

The average measured on all samples is 550 calories per 100 g. And health benefits highlighted by the manufacturers? While the chocolate brings magnesium but for a square, it reaches only 6% of recommended daily intake. As for psychostimulant and protective properties against cardiovascular disease, the link between chocolate consumption and reduced disease has never been demonstrated. And when effects on risk markers (on the vessels operation, for example) were observed, it was always by ingesting the quantities subjects incommensurable with our daily consumption. In short, there is certainly a lot of good things in chocolate, but the best, without a doubt, is its taste...
