Coffee Maker

Nothing better than a cup of coffee to start the day off right. Each house has its habits in terms of coffee: some prefer the espresso machine, other conventional coffee maker.

Discussed below is classical coffee machine, ie electrical with coffee filters. To help you make the right choice this article guides you.

Water poured into the electrical coffee maker reservoir heats with a resistance before falling into the filter compartment containing the ground coffee. The liquid is then collected in a glass container which rests on a hot plate to keep the coffee hot.

Some criteria to consider:

* The aroma selector function adjusts the water flow on the grind so the coffee will be the same quality whether for 2 or 10 cups.

* The drops stop function allows to stop the coffee flow when the coffee maker is removed.

* Programming function for models with a timer. It is possible to program the coffee brewing .

* The filter cartridge can effectively reduce the formation of tartar. It is therefore highly advisable to opt for a model having one.

* The Auto Off function allows the unit to burn out after a while. Very handy, if you go on forgetting that the coffee maker is still on.

* Most coffee maker models have, at the rear, space for storing the electrical power cord.

Coffee maker brands: Bosch, Philips, Severin, Melitta, Krups...
