Mini-Ovens And Rotisseries

The first criterion to consider before buying an oven to ask is the volume you need for your cooking. Currently, mini-ovens and rotisseries on the market range from 10 to 60 liters usable. The choice is wide. In general, they are provided with at least two cooking levels. See if you need more, some ovens are up to ten levels. Look if the position of plates or grids is enough room to insert the food, and if the number of grids provided is enough for you. Some manufacturers provide only one... If you want to be able to cook several preparations simultaneously, opting for a convection oven (or multifonction) will be a good investment : the internal fan helps to better distribute the heat in the oven cavity, and to cook more evenly.


All this is of course depending on the use you intend to make the oven. If only serves to roast meat, including poultry, the total volume of oven imports as well as the presence or absence of a rotisserie. Some accessories may be interesting, as the pizza plate or tray to catch the meat juice.

Cleaning

Mini-ovens and rotisseries never have the pyrolytic cleaning, unlike the built-in ovens or electric cookers we tested. The only solution is to choose the liner depending on the type of dish you are most used to prepare. For example, if you intend to use oven to cook meats, broiling or high temperatures can be expected for large splashes of fat and juice on the walls. In this case, the enamelled steel is shown. Catalysis is to be avoided, even if the selling point is precisely the grease cleaning : greasy stains can become embedded in the roughness of wall and make cleaning inoperative.

Catalysis will be however quite suitable for baking pies, bread or pastries in general. More problematic, within certain ovens is raw sheet. This prohibits the use of overly aggressive specific household products. If you opt for this type of device, whose price is especially attractive, we must be careful. The ideal is to think to pass a sponge impregnated of favorite detergent after each use.

Some manufacturers have had the foresight to predict folding resistance. This device facilitates cleaning. Keep this in mind as cleaning oven can quickly turn into a gym session.

Security

Beware of burns with this type of oven. The model that has two windows is a little less dangerous. The idea caught on and other manufacturers have adopted the "double glazing".

Timer

All ovens do not have a timer or delayed start. Yet it is useful options. The timer automatically stops the cooking and generally prevents the user with an audible signal. A digital timer is obviously more accurate.
