Gigabyte Announces Gamer Notebooks With Haswell Processors


The Chinese company Gigabyte has announced two laptops gamer with processors of the fourth-generation of Intel. The presentation of P25W and P27K was made during Computex 2013, one of the largest electronics trade fairs in the world, headquartered in Taiwan.



The machines have completely turned their hardware for gaming. Both models feature Full HD screens with a resolution of 1080p, Core i7 Haswell processors, backlit keyboards and Blu-Ray RW.


The P25W is an update of P2542G, and features a 15.6-inch screen and Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M GDDR5 3GB. The unit has 3 Kg with 24GB of RAM and two memory SSD cards for 256GB mSATA. Its hard drive has 1TB storage and a sound Dolby Home Theater of P25W.

Yet another device, the P27K has a bigger display of 17 inches, but will have a lower graphics card, the GTX 765M GDDR5 2GB. Also, it only has a single room for cards SSD of 256GB, weighs 3.2 pounds and uses Sound Blaster technology. The other specifications, however, are identical.

The P25W is available in the market at the end of June, costing between U.S. $ 1,299 and U.S. $ 1,799. According to the manufacturer, the P27K will be released only in the end of July, with a similar price.
